This house was built with great pride and is a testament to the quality of workmanship and design. How do I know this? My parents built it. I grew up in this property from the age of 5 and can truly say it is a wonderful home with plenty of great memories.

Being one of 6, the home was built to accommodate our large family. Two blocks of land were purchased in the original subdivision to create the enormous 1,741 square metres of land. I use to love as a young boy playing on the canal front with my toy boats. The canal is peaceful and only residents normally make the journey, no boats roaring past at all times of the day. The easy access to the main river was fantastic and an enormous plus. We use to motor over to Narrow neck for a surf and return, the whole journey, 10 minutes each way.

When I was young, I use to mow the plentiful lawns which understandably have been replaced by gardens. Depending how you feel, the lawns use to travel all the way around the house which I personally liked and could be revisited easily. Large fencing has also been installed and that is a matter of personal choice. I liked how the house was more open to the street with smaller walls but once again it is something that one could consider either way.

With so many children there was three large living areas. The informal kitchen/ family/ dining. The formal dining and separate lounge/ living and the large billiard/ entertaining area downstairs. The downstairs bedroom has been converted into a private media room but with an additional six bedrooms upstairs and now an additional guest bedroom downstairs there is an abundance of accommodation. We installed a downstairs kitchen additional to the main upstairs so the pool entertaining area was used most Sunday’s linking the two by a dumb waiter.

Being on top of the hill the views over to Main Beach are superb. There is no question that being elevated the airy and sun filled feel is an enormous plus. I use to walk to TSS which is 10 minutes away!

I really like the expansion of the upstairs verandah that makes the entertaining space overlooking the expansive views, very impressive indeed. The property is there to sell and I would be pleased to provide a personal tour.
